Coastalvision: Heavily-saturated Tropicalia by Ardneks

“Coastalvision: Heavily-sized Tropicaliá” traces the artistic journey of outsider artist Kendra Ahimsa, also known as Ardneks, from 2011 to 2023. The exhibition intertwines reality, fantasy, and candid nostalgia through a series of interviews with Ardneks and radio broadcasters worldwide—much like the colorful and breathtaking artworks envisioned by Ardneks. Notably, he skillfully employs various religious deities and symbols, incorporating cross-cultural elements inspired by Islam (including Sufism), Buddhism, Hinduism, and Christianity. Ardneks has also garnered attention from internationally renowned bands, leading him to create original works for local concert posters.
