Artist Huang Hai-Hsin's oil paintings excel at portraying the absurdities of modern life, a life lived with excessive effort, approaching collective madness. "Dining Table" is a collection of dining table scenes from a series of her oil paintings. Between lonely tables, birthday parties, and grand wedding banquets, there are glamorous crowds exchanging glances, choking back emotions, and vomiting.

The large painting is printed as a 20-page booklet, Riso-printed in three colors in a limited edition of 100 copies. Amidst the vibrant overlaps, a dizzying blur is added, guaranteed to evoke the smell of alcohol and the sensation of acid reflux.

Huang Hai-Hsin and Luc Jolivet established the New High Land publishing house, which held its launch event at our store last month. This book is not to be missed.
