Harry Clarke was an Irish stained glass artist and book illustrator. He was born in Dublin, Ireland in 1889, studied stained glass at the Dublin Metropolitan School of Art, and created many outstanding works throughout his life. In 1913, he moved to London to work on book illustrations. His first printed works appeared in Hans Christian Andersen's Fairy Tales, and included over 40 of his illustrations. The subsequent publication, Edgar Allan Poe's "Tale of Mystery and Imagination," brought Harry to fame. Although he lived a short life of only 42 years, he left behind a vast legacy of illustrations and stained glass art that continues to inspire us today.

As the only comprehensive collection of Harry Clarke's complete works, this gorgeous full-color book presents these works in exquisite print. It is an essential treasured book for fans of the "Golden Age of Illustration" and students of illustration. The book provides detailed Japanese explanations, with some content in English.
