An alienating city street slowly turns into a place called home. Little by little, baby Tracy grew up. She and her neighbors started to save their street. Together, they planted grass, trees, and shrubs in empty spaces. They painted murals over old graffiti. They blocked cars. Everything began to bloom.

"In this work, I celebrate the power of individuals and their communities to reclaim their neighborhood streets as part of their homes. Streets gradually become safe places for children to play, places for community activities, and places of nature and wonder."
