This photography book compiles 138 works by Fan Ho, including numerous award-winning pieces from international exhibitions as well as works appearing for the first time. The first essay in the collection, "My Endeavours," written by Fan Ho himself, describes his pursuit of photography and aesthetics, and documents the photographer's experience in blending different photographic styles. Through Ho Fan's words, readers can understand his definition of the harmony between aesthetics, poetics, and philosophy.
Fan Ho later transitioned from the photography world to the film industry, but maintained his passion for art and aesthetics. The photo collection includes Professor Chen Chih-Ting's academic exploration of the visual connections between Fan Ho's photography and films, as well as film critic and Fan Ho's close friend Law Kar's personal recollections of his transition process.
As Fan Ho's family stated: "Fan Ho will forever be in our hearts, and through the works he left behind, we feel closer to him. Every time we look at his unforgettable works, we have different experiences, whether it's the bygone era captured through his lens or the timeless human touch."
