Seed of Memory

This English zine is a contribution to decolonial healing by the art collective Weaving Realities through seeds of memory. They have been collecting and re-enacting ancestral recipes since 2017, using art to amplify suppressed voices and stories and to rekindle memories of worlds whose meanings are being erased. They believe ancestral recipes can open spaces for diverse learning and will help repair our relationships with food, the land, and others' lives. Through communal cooking and sharing meals, the artists seek to build a bridge that connects them to the communities that live in Abya Yala and coexist in harmony with the Earth.
