Macau is a city with the characteristics of a blend of Chinese and Western cultures. It was once a Portuguese colony. As a small fishing port town in the early days of China's opening up to trade, it also brings together food cultures from different countries. Cooking methods and ingredients from various regions, such as Europe, Africa, Southeast Asia, India and China, have contributed to the birth of Macanese cuisine.

"Something I ate" is an illustrated magazine introducing Macau food tourism. The series will be divided into three volumes (Coloane, Taipa, Macau). Xiaozhi will mainly introduce Macao food, and select some restaurants and foods in an old district that can represent the food culture of Macao people, and also introduce some Macao people's eating habits. The magazine will include maps so readers can look for food and cultural features everywhere.

"Taipa Village" has a profound historical and cultural heritage and a unique urban appearance; such as quaint European-style alleys, colonial buildings and antique street lamps. The food culture is also very diverse, such as authentic Portuguese dishes, desserts, clay pot coffee, and fishing port-style water crab porridge, which are all very famous. Around the city, you can find many landmark buildings such as churches, temples and museums. These maps, all contained in this small book, allow readers to explore in depth and find the gastronomic treasures of Taipa Village! Let you experience the traditional and authentic Macau’s diverse features.
