'Toiletpaper' is an artists' magazine created and produced by Maurizio Cattelan and Pierpaolo Ferrari, born from a shared passion or obsession: images.

The magazine contains no text; each picture originates from a simple idea, and through a complex orchestration of people, becomes the materialization of a mental outburst. Since the first issue in June 2010, 'Toiletpaper' has created a world that is at once ambiguous and disturbing, combining the vernacular of commercial photography with twisted narrative tableaux and surrealist imagery. The result is a publication that is itself a work of art, which, through the accessible form of a magazine and its wide distribution, challenges the limits of the contemporary art economy.
