Zaha Hadid was a revolutionary architect, widely acclaimed for her avant-garde designs, despite having almost no completed projects early in her career, with some even deeming her designs nearly impossible to construct. However, in her later years, her vision gradually came to fruition, bringing a unique architectural language to projects such as the Port House in Antwerp, the Al Janoub Stadium in Doha, Qatar, and the terminal of Beijing's new airport.

By the time of Hadid's untimely passing in 2016, she had firmly established herself at the pinnacle of the architectural world, involved in projects across Europe, China, the Middle East, and the United States. She was the first female architect to receive both the Pritzker Architecture Prize and the RIBA Royal Gold Medal. Her long-time partner, Patrik Schumacher, now leads Zaha Hadid Architects. This concise edition, covering all of Hadid's completed and ongoing works, includes numerous photographs, detailed sketches, and her own drawings, tracing her career and showcasing her groundbreaking architectural, furniture, and interior designs, all unmistakably bearing the hallmarks of the 21st century.
