This zine has recorded the project of reimagining how public space could be experienced by highlighting furniture’s role in shaping city, homes, and memories.
Over a course of four days, furniture was placed in an underused park, inviting local communities to use it and paint their visions of an ideal public space directly onto it. Throughout the event, they were transformed into living canvases painted with hopes and dreams. Afterward, participants took the furniture home, allowing its story to continue in their everyday lives.
While revitalizing neglected parks are challenging, this project sparks ideas about creating ideal public spaces.
